I am familiar with the concept of the Open Systems Interconnection Basic Reference Model and its seven layers: Physical, Data Link, Network, Transport, Session, Presentation, and Application. At one time or another I have had direct involvement developing each layer, or in the case of physical and network layers, utilizing the preexisting infrastructure for my work on the application.
